Grandmaster Yeow Cheng Watt
9th Degree Black Belt
International Taekwon-do
Instructor - Examiner
Vice President (Technical)
MGTF

Grandmaster Yeow Cheng Watt, PJK, has over 35 years of Martial Arts Experience in Taekwon-do. He is an 9th Degree Black Belt Taekwon-do Grandmaster and he believes strongly in the power of TAEKWON-DO to help all kinds of people feel better about themselves and improve their life styles.

He was awarded the 7th Degree Black Belt from the Founder of Taekwon-do, General Choi Hong Hi himself, and the 8th Degree Black Belt by the late GrandMaster Park Jung Tae. Recently, he was accorded the 9th Degree Grandmaster status by Grandmaster Dato' Sabree Salleh, founder of the Malaysian Global Taekwon-do Federation (MGTF) and the Global Taekwon-do Federation International (GTFi)

Grandmaster Yeow founded the Traditional Taekwon-do Academy back in the year 1988. He has since, and is still producing students who have become world and national champions. Grandmaster Yeow was also the National Chief Coach for the Malaysian team from 1987 till 1994 and his team won and gained respect, achievement and recognition internationally! The Black Belts from the Traditional Taekwon-do Academy have spread their wings all over the world and have become instructors themselves in countries such as Sweden, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand, to name a few.

With his strict principles and his "No Politics" policy, Grandmaster Yeow has incorporated his experience in other martial disciplines together with Taekwon-do to introduce a well balanced art of locks & throws that complements the kicking finesse of Taekwon-do.

Students respect Grandmaster Yeow highly for his accomplishments and dedication to individuals and his casual yet encouraging personality and good hunour. He has a special reputation for dealing with all people from children to adults, regardless of race or gender, as he is able to balance discipline with a firm yet kind manner. Consequently, they hold the upmost respect and admiration for him. We believe that currently he is already in the midst of producing another group of champions...

Grandmaster Yeow was privileged and honored to be the recipient of the World Peace Diplomat by the world-renowned International Association Of Educators For World Peace (IAEWP) back in October of 2008 at the International Martial Arts Festival held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He is seen here receiving the honor and memento from Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib, the Minister of Rural and Regional Development of Malaysia.

In 2009, Grandmaster Yeow was awarded the Doctorate in Martial Arts Science And Philosophy by the World Academy Of Martial Arts Philosophy And Science (WAMAPS) for his contribution to Taekwon-do and martial arts in general
